Unable to travel these days, the designer turned to old travel photos and found images taken from an exhibition in the UK. It was a show about abandonment that depicted battered dolls holding X-ray films of their “injuries”. From this, the designer was inspired to create a collection to remind us that each piece of clothing should be cherished, not casually thrown away. The designs are dotted with deliberate “imperfections” like cutouts in weird places, unfinished sleeves, patchwork and zippers that make each item unique. The idea is that you can refresh any item of clothing with wear and tear because it can still make you feel good. Compared to previous seasons, there is also more knitwear and leather for a richer juxtaposition of textures.
