HUMANKIND

The Spanish flu caused 40 to 50 million deaths globally from 1918 to 1920 and put the spotlight on public health. A century later, the human race once again has had to change our way of life due to COVID-19. In the past year, humans have got used to living with the virus. The designer explores these two pandemics, and draws inspiration from the changes in the uniforms and daily clothing of medical staff, to create a collection of contemporary daywear in black, white and grey that symbolises protection.
